Studios

FutureLab Makers hosts a vibrant collective of art studios where like-minded makers, restorers and creative entrepreneurs and artists come together. This community fosters knowledge sharing and mutual support, while providing the space and facilities to thrive. Studios are designed for furniture restoration and other craft-based professions, with access to shared areas such as a dust room, office spaces, and a showroom for finished pieces.

The shared spaces include a large showroom that doubles as a workshop venue or staging area, offering makers to showcase and sell their creations. There is a community table for connecting, as well as 4 shared office desks available by reservation for computer or administrative work. The building also offers a dedicated dust room for sanding and other dust-producing tasks, a spray area for spray-painting projects, a kitchen equipped with a fridge and microwave, and an on-site washroom for convenience.

We gratefully acknowledge that we live and work on the unceded ancestral lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ilwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, on whose territory the city now known as Vancouver is located.

We recognize their enduring connection to this land and encourage everyone to learn about the Indigenous territories on which they live and work.
